    1. Yeah. No way an F35 would rank number 3. Not just because of the numerous technical problems it faced during its long delayed development & insane long term costs which has plagued Lockheed with allot of bad PR but the fact it’s still a very new fighter that just entered service a year or so ago & there are lots of 4th gen jets both US & foreign that can out perform the F35 & have done so in simulated dogfights several times.

    2. I agree,
Most of these jets are obsolete now. Some of them are having horrific issues that are making commanders hesitant to deploy them. A lot of these are delta wing fighters which can’t take anywhere near the G’s that fighter in a non-delta wing configuration can handle. Also the Russian jets looks snazzy but they’re still using technology from the 60’s. Their engines are no where near as capable or sophisticated as U.S. jests and possible European jets (I honestly don’t know anything about the European fighter jests but seeing how a lot of our equipment is interchangeable I’m assuming they’re probably using the same engines, Rolls Royce..etc)

  1. You have zero clue of what any of these jets is actually capable of. Perhaps you could make a list of the best brands of crayons instead.

      1. The F-35 can get to the battlefield faster than the F-18 simply because of it’s jump capabilities. I agree that the F-18 is a far superior fighter but the point of the F-35 is to fill every role on the battlefield. I don’t agree with this but I believe the reason the writers of this article place it higher is because of it’s versatility.

      1. That’s not true. You can put the best pilots in the world in Russian fighter jets and they still won’t be able to keep those garbage piles in the air for very long.

  2. Ah the f 15 Eagle also known as the hanger queen as that’s where it spends most of its time this list was definitely written by an American because he got 1 and 2 round the wrong way

  3. I also don’t agree with everything on the list and some of the order it is in but one thing I want to point out is that you can’t compare the F-35 to the F-15 or the F-18 or any other air superiority fighter. It was never intended to be superior in a dog fight. It is basically an insanely powerful flying computer. It’s huge atvantage besides stealth is information and the ability to share that information with other aircraft and ground units. It’s ability to see before it is seen and present real time information makes it very deadly.
